College athletic programs that have the luxury of being sponsored by Jordan Brand will often be treated each year with special player-edition sneakers inspired by the colors of their own respective institution. And this year, the University of North Carolina Tar Heels football program is getting a new PE Air Jordan 6 “UNC” designed with special details.
To build on the Air Jordan 5 makeup design the grill gang received in 2021, the folks at Jordan designed this latest iteration with a similar layout. The upper sections are enlivened by leather overlays and side panels, all of which are appropriately clad in “University Blue”. Chenille-infused patches stand out on each shoe, the right side featuring a “23” hit while the left features a Jumpman logo. The official UNC logo also appears here when it arrives on the lace toggles as well as the heels in an embroidered manner. The tongues and heel pieces are tinted a lighter gray hue and dark navy accents accompany via the former’s trim as well as on the midsole molds.
Check out an in-depth look at the pair above and note that these will not be made public.
