A Woodside cellphone store near St. Sebastian’s Church was robbed at gunpoint by three men late last month, and the NYPD released new CCTV footage of the inside the store who caught them in the act.
Police in the 108th Precinct in Long Island City are looking for the three suspects who entered the AT&T store at 58-20 Roosevelt Ave. just before 6 p.m. on Friday August 26, when one of them allegedly pulled out a handgun and forced a 32-year-old store employee into the back office and asked him to open the safe containing a variety of cell phones.
The men then stuffed a large amount of the devices into a duffel bag before fleeing with around $60,000 worth of goods, police said, adding that no injuries were reported from the theft.
The three suspects were described as between 25 and 35 years old with dark complexion and average build. One wore a white t-shirt, gray shorts, white sneakers, a white hat and a black mask. The second suspect wore all-black clothing, white sneakers, a black hat, a blue mask and was last seen carrying the duffel bag. The third suspect was wearing a light purple hoodie, dark blue jeans, white sneakers and a blue mask.
