Nick Cannon is apparently in the doghouse with ex-wife Mariah Carey after giving their twins Moroccan cellphones and Monroe for their 10th birthday.
In a Friday clip from his eponymous talk show, the Masked singer The host described what happened after the twins asked for phones when they were eight. “â¦ I was all about it. I’m all about it. But Mariah was like, ‘Uh-uh. They’re not going to google us. Nuh uh. Check out all their new siblings. No, we are. let’s not play. ‘ Cannon and Carey married in 2008 but separated in 2014. Their divorce was finalized in 2016.
Cannon decided he could wait until the kids were 10, but it turns out Mum still wasn’t on board. Thus, on their 10th anniversary, the Wild and out the host took matters into his own hands. âWe had this amazing party with jumps, their friends came over, it was so amazing,â he told the audience. “Then [when] it was time to open the presents, I was like ‘I’m going to leave them here and tell your mum I’m coming back. Mariah is still mad at me to this day. ‘â
Moroccan and Monroe are Cannon’s only children with the pop diva. He has five other children, three of whom were born this yearâ Golden “Sagon” (born February 2017) and Powerful Queen (born December 2020) which he shares with model Brittany Bell, twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir ( born in June 2021) which he shares with professional DJ Abby De La Rosa, and Zen (born in June 2021), which he shares with model Alyssa Scott.
This week on the Drink champions podcast, Cannon said he would give celibacy a chance for the rest of the year. âI’m trying to relax though. I am relaxing. I move away a bit, I concentrate, I go inside, I put on my celibacy, âhe said. âI have enough children, enough frolicking. I am fine now. â¦ I try. I didn’t say I was perfect. He added, âI have experienced such a wide range of education that I have such a love and passion for children and family. I want a big family too. The Lord blessed me with what I asked for. Ask and you will receive. “
