Over the past 37 years, the Nike Dunk High has appeared in hundreds of ensembles, drawing inspiration from everything from varsity sports to teddy bears. Along the way, the design of the late Peter Moore indulged in styles quite similar to those introduced by some of his collaborators.
Recently, the silhouette emerged in a simple ensemble that pairs a dark blue with black and white in a similar fashion to AMBUSH with its June 15, 2021 “Deep Royal Blue” collaboration. The pair’s titular hue takes over panels around the toe, along the tongue, and on the heel, allowing profile swooshes to take on a dark look and all remaining real estate to don a “colorless” arrangement. Collars maintain their standard height, just as the brand follows traditional guidelines, delivering the Swoosh’s latest Nike Dunk solo effort. The influence of Yoon Ahn and VERBAL from the aforementioned Japanese imprint, however, cannot be denied.
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead and anticipate a Nike SNKRS launch before the end of 2022.
